My name is Mauricio Amaral and I am currently a sophomore at Cal State Dominguez Hills. My campus has always prided it self in being a widely diverse campus, this year we where the third most diverse university in the west. This was said by the book "US News & World Report 2008 America's Best Colleges", but ever since I started attending I've noticed that when they say diversity they only talk about race/ethnicity.

Our founders William Henry Letterman and Charles Paige Thomas Moore started our fraternity in 1852. Our founders realized the benefit from "the great joy of serving others". In 2003 our local chapter was started. We has participated in various volunteer organizations all of which benefited the community. This semester we are looking forward to starting a local food drive, we would like to go door to door handing out bags with flyers in them dedicating a date to pick up the canned goods.
