Challenger 7 Tutor for the stars

Challenger 7 is an underprivellaged school in Palm Bay, Fl. My sisters work at Challenger 7, Amanda is the school counselor and Melissa is a second grade teacher. Melissa has a classroom full of behavior issues, at the last minute all the other teachers threw all of the children out of their classroom that required that extra initiative to learn. Now, dealing with almost 17 behavioral issues she rarely gets through a lesson without stopping and reprimanding one of them. I propose to go into the classroom as a volunteer and work one on one with those children that need it.

Encourage, Motivate, Inspire.......Tutoring

This project is to offer free tutoring services for children from (K-12) in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Each year students have to take a test known as the SOL here in Virginia, I intend to help prepare students for this test. Not only to help educate them but also to motivate and encourage them in other facets of life. Mentoring someone to succeed in education is something each child can take with them throughout life. I hope by helping these students now and in the future will encourage them to be successful and expand their dreams.

No Child Left Behind

I believe that every student should have the chance to have the best learning experience, no child should be left behind. Even though some struggle due to difficult issues that tutors like me may not be able to help with, we can all at least help them make their school experience fun and easy. I am talking about little fourth, fifth, sixth graders that may not yet realize that each day at school may already effect their futures. The earlier they realize that school can be fun, the faster they will succeed in school as well as life overall.
