For my project, I am singlehandedly planning and organizing an awareness event. I want people in the community to be less ignorant about autism, Down's Syndrome, etc. I plan to invite and solicit donations from at least three major celebrities. I will emcee the event, pay for hotel accomodations for all out of state guests, and enlist the help of my fellow seniors for set up and clean up. I want to have some restaurants and grocery chains donate food and/or money. All proceeds will turn around and go to Best Buddies International

My project, Share The Love consisted of collecting stuffed animals/plush bears, etc for children who are going through crises in their lives. By having a teddy bear or stuffed animal these children are able to have the needed support of a friend as they are going through difficult times. After collecting the animals I gave them to the Dupage Children’s Center and the Humanitarian Society’s Birthday Project. They will be passing out the animals to the children in need, as they help their families and the children.
