It's Not Just Black and White

As community artists in Baltimore City, we believe it is crucial to further the conversation about race and the impact of our racial identity on our perceptions of the world. Baltimore has a history and is currently struggling with segregation within its own neighborhoods. We need to address this issue as a community and teach young people how to respond to their environment in alternative ways, so that the separation does not become greater.

Culturally-Sensitive Psychological Projective Test

This project creates an opportunity to explore the intersection between psychometric instrumentation and cross-cultural factors, as the researchers intend on the development of a new projective psychological instrument. Assessment instruments have been statistically proven to can be beneficial for members of all populations. As the number of minority clients increases and the mental health community continues to recognize the importance of minority mental health, the need for culturally sensitive instruments will increase.

Jer's Vision seeks to support youth through programs and services that are open to everyone.

Stomping Out Breast Cancer

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer women will have to face in their lifetimes (excluding skin cancer). It can occur in women of any age and race. Breast cancer does not just affect women, but families and friends. I am a Girl Scout wanting to encourage people to help take a stand against breast cancer. My family has been affected by breast cancer and have been there holding the hand of a loved one, worrying about the blood tests, and trying to move forward with life. I am determined to help find the cure.
