There are 4 benches, 2 picnic tables with 8 picnic seats that need the old splintered wood replaced with recycled plastic lumber at the Westfield, NJ, YMCA. The picnic tables, picnic seats and benches are located in the children's playground area. There is a sign outside the YMCA that I will be encircling with stones and filling in the circle with plants. There an entrance walkway that needs new shrubs planted on both sides. I will be doing the replacement of the rooted wood, stone work and landscaping shrub work so I can complete my Eagle Project. Only 2% of all scouts become Eagle Scouts. I need a grant so I can buy the materials and supplys needed to complete my Eagle Project.

This project is designed to improve the beautification of Huffines Middle School in Lewisville Tx.Our school is a very ethnicnally diverse school in Lewisville Tx(Dallas Metroplex). When you walk up to the building there are two sides of grass that has been trampled down. When it rains it makes for a very muddy enviornment in front of the school and inside of the school. I would like to put concrete in these spots that will be outlined in bricks with the famalies name of our students.The bricks purchased will be by the famalies who would want to put their name or a message on them. What I am looking for is start up funds to purchase the concrete and the plants to make the front of the school have a beautiful curb appeal. This project will also develope a since of school pride and will make this institution a place that the students would want to come and learn in.

I believe this oject improve our learning enviornment by showing school pride and school spirit.

I live in rural North Carolina and also play high school tennis. Our school provides tennis courts for practice and our matches but has no money available for upkeep or beautification of the general area surrounding the courts. If awarded a grant, I would use the money to beautify the grounds outside the tennis courts and hopefully establish a permantant refreshment stand area to be used by both players and supporters. Our tennis courts are used by the schools and also by our community. An ungrade would be a welcomed improvement, one I hope to provide.

The mission of TeensLead, L.L.C. is to connect New Orleans area students and incoming volunteers to beautification and service projects in New Orleans; and to further develop individual leadership skills. We intend on achieving this through three goals. 1) Connecting local high school students with service projects in New Orleans. Most New Orleans high school students require service hours to complete their high school education. TeensLead will not only supply service requirements through separate service projects, but re-acquaint local students with their community. 2) Connecting incoming volunteers with different service projects in New Orleans. These projects will assist in the recovery of New Orleans, after the damage caused by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. This aspect of TeensLead will properly educate volunteers about society and community life in Post-Katrina New Orleans. 3) Developing individual leadership skills. Through separate service projects, TeensLead will assist teenagers in developing leadership skills and increase personal desire for community activism and involvement.
