District 202 is an organization dedicated to providing safe space for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender young people and their allied friends age 21 and under. The initiative for this grant is to use it to educate the public about the value of tolerance, and how it positively impacts our community to embrace people from all walks of life. By putting young people in the position to speak out about their experiences, it empowers them to take pride in who they are, regardless of sexual orientation.
