See It: The Community being helped

YOUthSERV is a club that would connect the youth of the area to their communities through service projects. High school students, along with a couple of adult sponsors, would meet weekly to discuss issues affecting them, their community, state, nation and/or the world, and once monthly perform a service project that addressed the issue of discussion i.e. discuss hunger and then organize a food drive or discuss homelessness and then serve food at a shelter and/or collect bedding.
The service wold not only be recognized locally, but YOUthSERV would also work in conjunction with the Congressional Award www.Ccngressionalaward.org to recognize the efforts put forth by members and give them a great addition to their resume for college applications.
