Youth are often depicted and criticized for negative concepts that may occur within the community. One bad apple shouldn’t spoil the bunch. Every child deserves to be praised on his or her accomplishments. So here, is your chance to be recognized on your accomplishments, talents, or community service or you can acknowledge youth of Forsyth County that have gone the extra mile to reach a successful future. The youth today are our future leaders of tomorrow. Let’s give credit, where credit is due!

The Latino Empowerment Team (LET) is a group of twelve Washington University in St. Louis undergraduate students who are interested in education reform, increasing diversity on college campuses nationwide, and have a strong desire to help Latino youth. This is our second year in operation; our primary program is an annual alternative spring break trip to an area in the United States with a large number of low-income minority students.

I would love to start a program where college students that got scholarships for college would show high school juniors and seniors how it's done. For instance how to write the essays, what the judges really want, some of the best scholarships and scholarship websites. Overall, just to give good advice.

OVERVIEW
Though China is often seen as a rising power in the international world, much of China still remains impoverished, especially in western provinces where minorities live. There the yearly family income of most families is less than 1900 RMB (about $250).

My younger brother and I have started a scholarship
in memory of our brother who died when he was 13. We want
to help kids who struggle with school subjects like he
did. We are calling it the Kason Scholarship after him.
We have made arrangements with a local tutoring company
and we hope to help a lot of kids.

A lot of students need to realize how important postseconday education is. Many of them are unknowledgeable or afraid of the whole application process. There are a lot of advisory websites and materials available; however, many students still need extra guidance. I will try to be that incubator for them.
Students also need help will the fees for college applications or entrance exams. A lot of them need financial help.
