Skatepark

Me and some friends have been working to raise some money for our local skatepark committee by putting together a big benefit festival. It will be held at our local, Rock county fairgrounds on May 24th, 2008. High school bands, local bands, and national bands are signing up to attend. Any financial support will be much appreciated. Our town(Brookville,IN.) is in need of a safe place for people to skate board. Business owners do not allow skate boarding in the parking lots or sidewalks. Also the town police are busy telling the skateboarders they can not skateboard in public areas. One church will let them skate in their parking lot. They have also formed a group to raise awareness for the need of a skate park in our area.
