Together We Build - معا نبني

The Old City of Hebron is a highly disputed territory at the heart of the Palestinian and Israeli conflict. International aid has focused on critical conflict intervention as well as medical and nutritional assistance. The children of the Old City, particularly the boys, are exposed to disruptive checkpoints, detentions, toxic tear gas, extended curfews, and physical searches. These affronts erode bodily sovereignty, both mentally and physically, which is vital to the development of healthy self-esteem.

Stay As Dead As You Are Dinner Theater

For as long as I can remember, my life has been consumed by theatre. Whether it be behind the scenes, on stage, in the audience; I have always tried to dip my feet in as many areas of performing arts as possible. As a result, it was very important to me that I leave behind something for my high school besides just a memory.

River City Children's Theater

Prior to 2004, students in rural Southern Columbia County (OR) had limited reach into local theater groups that focused on adults. There was a clear need and demand for theater exposure for students throughout the year. Myself and colleague Heather Bishop identified this need and set out to share our talents of acting and music with students in our small, rural town. River City Children’s Theater (RCCT) was born out of this desire.

Our goal is to make Shakespeare widely available across the nation and, more importantly, widely enjoyed and understood. Too often the Bard is ignored or considered too difficult to understand when in reality his works are just as relevant today as they were in his time. We believe that Shakespeare is one of history's greatest authors and that attending a performance of his works should be pain-less and dare we say enjoyable.

The Children's Bilingual Theater

Jordan Schwartz noticed that kids learning Spanish at school didn't have a place to practice it. She created The Children's Bilingual Theater, which puts on plays for schools and communities encouraging others to learn different languages. She won a BRICK Award in 2006.
