KIDS in distress is a community center that is a safe haven for kids who have been victims of domestic abuse, or who have had past behaviorial problems in preschools, and as a result have been expelled and can no longer find a suitable environment for pre-school learning. This center provides a learning center for these kids who are deprived of the love they need, and kids who otherwise would not have an oppurtunity to socialize with other kids and gain the advantage that preschool gives.

On September 11, 2001 the United States and the World witnessed a tragedy. Terrorism caused nearly 3,000 people to lose their lives. Each person died a hero.
In an effort to never forget the victims of 9-11, I constructed a memorial wall in my high school two years ago. After receiving approval from my principal, I asked a school club, Kansas Association for Youth, to assist me in creating the wall. The project took four months to plan, buy materials, create, and make. The wall contains 2,996 stars.
