The Community Service Council at Fairfield University recognizes that hunger is a major issue affecting thousands of people just minutes from our campus. Our project, Mission: Thanksgiving, will provide a special Thanksgiving meal to low-income families and individuals from Bridgeport, CT who frequent local shelters, soup kitchens and food pantries. The event is aimed at raising campus awareness of the significant problem of hunger facing the 30% of people living below the poverty threshold in Bridgeport.
