Our office serves the entire Upper Peninsula of Michigan, which is made of 15 counties (Alger, Baraga, Chippewa, Delta, Dickinson, Gogebic, Houghton, Iron, Keweenaw, Luce, Marquette, Menominee, Mackinac, Ontonagon, and Schoolcraft).

Within the UP, there are 8,100 people with Alzheimer's disease, and that number is growing every day. Nationwide, there are more than 5 million people with Alzheimer's. Worldwide, someone develops Alzheimer's disease every 72 seconds.

Indie Fest

This is a yearly concert my friend and I started in the summer of 2007 that actually happened in October of 2007. We brought in some of the best unsigned or underground indie/alternative rock bands in the midwest to come play at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts in Tecumseh, Michigan. We wanted to show our town some real music, and give the best local bands a chance to play with some of the best bands out there, while still doing something good for our community. The profits from the show go to a local charity.

Fitzgerald Food Pantry

|I along with my Girl Scout Troop #239 have started a food Pantry for our school district. we have earned over |$450.00 and spent that on food and other items to help the needy people in our community. Now that food is almost gone and we need to keep it up. We have many things planned to help raise funds to buy more food. we are doing a shamrock sale for $1.00, and are going to be doing a mom 2 mom sale in the winter to help with raising funds for our pantry. We can feed one family for 2 weeks on |$50.00. we want to be able to help 10 to 15 people a week.

Ascending Africa's highest mountain to provide medical supplies for Tanzania!

In the summer of 2008, I will be journeying to Kenya on a study abroad program through Michigan State University. After this program, I'm going to Tanzania to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain at 19,340 feet. I am doing this not only for personal reasons; I am climbing to benefit the people of East Africa.

Empowering Youth to Achieve Success

Financial prosperity remains an allusive dream for many young Americans. I am working on a pilot program that will help teenagers from lower income families learn business and financial skills. The project will involve placing youth in leadership positions of small corporations established just for this purpose. Successful business leaders will help guide students through the entire business cycle. Participants will learn hands-on how businesses operate and experience an unparalleled level of responsibility.
