For our project we helped out with the elderly, I created a project called HOPS "Helping Older People Smile" that pairs elderly patients with high school students this past year. When have had an overcrowding number of students get involved and I am so excited next year to see what happens with the program. This program took off like wildfire and many of the patients lives have changed tremendously due to having this one person come and visit them.

My name is Sammy Sweet. I would like to start a fund to help those gramas and grampas
in nursings homes in my area, Barberton, Ohio. My mom worked for years in a nursing home as a LPN. We learned there are lots of folks in homes that have NO family or friends... no one visits...they have no finances...their independence gone. There needs to be a fund for those in need...the small things mean a lot to those that have nothing. It could be a favorite magazine, bottle of hairspray, or lotion...even new underwear!!! Meeting these gramas and grandpas needs is the most important to me!
