This movement is for every one of you who has, in one way or another, been negatively affected by the societal quest for perfection and beauty. Ever felt you weren't thin enough, good enough, athletic, tall, short, curvy, sexy, smart, wealthy, or PERFECT enough?

Ever felt the need to conform to images of beauty that the media portrays as "Real"? We are for every individual who is ready to join a new Revolution for Women who demand to be respected and celebrated for who and what we are -- no matter what.

Many people, especially those in America, suffer from eating disorders and many other problems regarding health. This is often led by lack of a healthy lifestyle. FIRST is a project that may influense those who live unhealthy lifestyles to overcome their problems by watching an experimentation and following a guide to maintain exercise needs as well as food consumption guides. Hopefully, this will make people understand the problems in society and try to fix themas well as bettering their lives.

Stopping a silence disease

I have created a blog at my space where I post the stories of my difficult recovery from anorexia and the hard times I had to go through when I had this terrible disease. Any one can write in the blog and the idea is to talk to other people who are battling with the disease or have recovered to get support. The blog is also a way to raise awareness about eating disorders and so posting articles about eating disorders is also welcomed. This blog is like a hot line for support and for raising awareness and finding ways that people individually can help their community.

We all know by now that anorexia and bulimia are serious illnesses, but really, what are the long term consequences to the body? Below are the specific effects for both Anorexia and Bulimia.

Health Consequences of Anorexia Nervosa:

In anorexia nervosa’s cycle of self-starvation, the body is denied the essential nutrients it needs to function normally. Thus, the body is forced to slow down all of its processes to conserve energy, resulting in serious medical consequences.
