Brad Pitt
How did Brangelina ring in the new year?
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not only known as superstar A-list actors, but also as two of the biggest philanthropists in Tinseltown. The couple and their children spent Christmas in Namibia (the birthplace of their daughter Shiloh!) and rounded out 2010 with a partnership with the N/a'an ku sê Lodge and Wildlife Sanctuary, a $2 million donation on behalf of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, and a very CGG-esque start to the new year.
Star-studded 'Hope for Haiti' telethon raises $57 million

All the stars aligned on January 22 for "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief". Organized by George Clooney, the telethon is reported to have raised $57 million… and counting. The sum does not yet include donations made on behalf of corporations, but it’s safe to say that the event, televised on dozens of channels and all major networks, was a huge success!
Jolie-Pitt cycles change lives

In true do-gooder style, the Jolie-Pitt family welcomed an opportunity to help others when, in 2006, they donated the $4 million from selling daughter Shiloh’s baby photos to children in Africa.
About $10,000 of that money went toward purchasing bicycles (72 to be exact) for children living in northern Namibia. Now, three years later, the effects of the family’s donation are being documented in this week’s issue of Life & Style, and you won't believe how life changing these cycles have been!
Quote of the Day: Brad Pitt

via Parade.com
"When someone asked me why Angie and I don't get married, I replied, 'Maybe we'll get married when it's legal for everyone else.' I stand by that…I believe everyone should have the same rights. They say gay marriage ruins families and hurts kids. Well, I've had the privilege of seeing my gay friends being parents and watching their kids grow up in a loving environment."
