MTV News already recognized Lady Gaga as being the most important Woman of the Year (and our most fashionable), but we weren't the only ones taking notice: DoSomething.org listed their top 20 most charitable celebrities of 2010, and unsurprisingly, Gaga took the #1 spot.

This isn't the first community service-centic award show for youth to be supported by Viacom — the Do Something Awards aired earlier this year on VH1 — and if the MTV Research team keeps coming up with findings that reinforce generational social consciousness, we might see more celebrations of real teens doing good to come.
As the heartwrenching aftermath of the earthquake in Haiti continues to unfold, Haitian-born and Brooklyn-raised rapper, Wyclef Jean is representing his homeland, working through his org, the Yéle Haiti Foundation, to collect major funds. He appeared on CNN immediately after news of the quake broke to ask Americans for their support.
