Star-studded 'Hope for Haiti' telethon raises $57 million

All the stars aligned on January 22 for "Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief". Organized by George Clooney, the telethon is reported to have raised $57 million… and counting. The sum does not yet include donations made on behalf of corporations, but it’s safe to say that the event, televised on dozens of channels and all major networks, was a huge success!
