I am trying to be a part in resolving overseas third world poverty. My key focus is limiting warfare, which will limit orphans (what I was) in third world countries.
I plan to gain an education in Linguistics and use that to get involved in the government and international communications branch of politics in my country of birth. I was born and raised in the city of Firestone, Liberia. a 15 year civil war began 4 years before I was born. I endured this war for the first 11 or so years of my life. It left my family separated and destroyed, and me an orphan.

The issue I am trying to solve is public health care in third world countries. Because of corruption, these people living in developing nations are forced to continue living in poverty with little to no health care. There is no room for movement between social classes because the people living in poverty do not have the opportunity to succeed. From my time spent working in a health clinic in Ecuador, I've realized that other institutions in developing nations directly and indirectly affect the public health care system.
