Hundreds Of Animals Found In 'Zoo From Hell'

It was an ugly scene earlier this week in Rockland County, NY as hundreds of sick and malnourished animals were removed from a home described as a "zoo from hell.”

Now, Robert Everle, the own of the animals, is facing charges he mistreated his menagerie, yet somehow he is still being allowed to keep the animals. Authorities say there may be 300 animals in all, but the sheer number makes it impossible to confiscate them all, so they'll monitor Everle's promise to better treat those left behind.

Humane Society Visits

Through these visits, our club is trying to improve the lives of unwanted animals.

Earthly Help Clinic (EHC)

I'm trying to 1: help the environment, and 2: help animals. What I do now for the environment is not to litter. If someone puts something on the ground, i make sure it's picked up. I recycle as much as possible. If the world is filled with trash, gases, and pollution, where can we go? What I'm doing now for the animals is care. I visit the dogs at the pound. I buy stuff that donates money for animals. I dont eat animals either. I love animals and they're being abused. I want to help them!

Aiding the Helpless

See It I am aiding the animals at the Humane Society. This is an important issue to me because these animals can’t help themselves, we need to help them. Each shelter gets around 21 injured animal calls a month. They also get over 220 stray pick-up calls a month. This is a lot of work. One reason the Humane Society needs money is because with all of these stray and injured animals, most of them need medical attention. Medical attention for over 200 animals a month can get pretty expensive. On the up side, more than 100 animals at a large shelter get adopted each month.

Helping my animal Shelter

I am trying to help the Oshkosh Area Humane Society. They are a animal shelter, and they need money, because they are non-profit, and all the money they get is from donations. The cost to keep about 200 animals fed, healthy, and happy is alot. 9 out of 10 animals that they rescue require medical attention, that meens 180 out of 200, which cost's alot, and if they have the money they try to spray/neuter the animals for free if they can, and if they can't it could be too much for the people adopting so the animal might not get adopted.

F.T.A (free the animals)

Animals deserve just as many rights as we do, therefor i dont think major names in make-up and other products should use animals as their testers. Animals are defensless against that and it is wrong to use them. There are other solutions to test things on. In our club we will save the animals no matter what it takes.

Pets Helping People

Pets helping People” I am an undergraduate student attending Alvin Community College Majoring in Pre Veterinary Studies. I have an idea to start a club or a group of Volunteers in my community that can take there small pets up to the Retirement Center certain days of the week to let the elderly enjoy there company. I myself have a few pets of my own and really enjoy there companionship and good nature. Recent studies have shown that pets can actually be uplifting and reduce anxiety and stress.
