Comfort For Canines

Comfort For Canines is a individually founded program in which I collect blankets, towels, comforters, and dogs beds in new or good condition. Also, paper towels and hand sanitizer are collected and donated to the Broward Humane Society, including its many branch offices. I travel there three times a month, depending on the size of the present donation load. So far, we have collected over thousands of dollars in paper and bedding for Broward County alone.

Teens Organizing and Giving Aid (T.O,G.A.)

A party was held, and to get in, you had to doate 2 hygeine items. these were later placed into bags, that were decorated, with soothing pictures and quotes. we then took these bags to a place called the refug house. the refuge house is a temporary shelter for foster children. the kids' faces were so filled with hope and joy, and i was so excited. i felt a sense of accomplishment and hopefully making the children feel a little more welcome at the home. but, it didn't stop there. the refuge house still needed our help. they needed another office, so they were building one in San Antonio, Tx.

C.H.A.M.P. Canine Help and Aid for Medical Purposes

Recently having watched my beloved dog, Daisy, get hit by an oncoming truck after she managed to coerce herself out of her collar, I have been made aware of the pain and suffering that not only accompanies the owner of a dog that needs emergency medical help, but the veterinary bill, for said canine, as well. Being a relatively accident-free person, myself, I have really not encountered the ongoing and debated problem of health care costs in America; thus, it was news to me that it had engulfed veterinary medical assistance, as well.

Birdhouses For The Homeless

There is a common misconception about homelessness and how it can be overcome. The homeless need homes...not jobs, or cloths, or food, or education .... those are problems in and of themselves... these people need homes (and who is to judge what type of home it is. ie. birdhouse). Once they have a home, they are ready to tackle other obstacles in their lives. As you will find out, it is quite simple to become part of the solution. All it takes is a little time and effort!!

FIRST ROBOTICS

FIRST Robotics and What it means to Me When discussing the FIRST Robotics Competition, you establish the entire point until you, at least, touch base on Gracious Professionalism. According to Dr. Woodie Allen, “Gracious professionalism is the backbone of the competition.” Yet, you can’t begin to develop an idea of gracious professionalism without knowing what the competition is. FIRST is an organization developed to encourage up and coming youth of all ages to be involved in the field of science and technology.
