CGG clued you in recently that Scarlett Johansson revealed that she has had a personal ongoing email correspondence with Barack Obama throughout his campaign. But apparently ScarJo isn’t on the Obama pedestal she thinks she is after all.

According to the Washington Post, as Obama travelled to Hollywood last week for some celebrity-ridden fundraising, he insisted that Johansson did not have direct access to his private email address. Rather, it appears that she has been contacting Obama through a middle-man: Obama’s personal aide, Reggie Love.

"She sent one email to Reggie, who forwarded it to me," Obama said. Love, a former Duke football and basketball player, was also recently nominated as one of People’s "50 Most Eligible Bachelors." Who else was nominated? Scarlett's twin brother, who is also working on the Obama campaign. That sounds like one good-lookin campaign office! Sounds like it's gonna be tough to get a job there pretty soon....

Ever wonder what celebs do in their spare time? If they're Scarlett Johansson, they email back and forth with Senator Obama. Seems to run in the family as the actress' twin brother, Hunter, works for the Obama campaign. Even Scarlett is amazed whenever her "You've got mail" button goes off. She told Politico, "Someone like the senator, who is constantly traveling and constantly 'on,' how can he return these personal emails?" One might say the same thing of Scarlett.

Of Obama, Scarlett said, "One of the driving forces behind the Obama campaign is that all of these young people who never had a reason to vote before finally got the fire under their ass." Well spoken Scarlett.

And then there were two. We've been scouring Youtube for celebrities voicing their endorsements for their Presidential nominee of choice. And we have to say that there are many more celebrity videos for Obama than for McCain. Is it possible that more democrats use Myspace?

Before they could receive their diploma, throw their cap into the air, and rush to the reception, college graduates had to endure one last rite of passage: the commencement speech.

We always thought the luckiest kids have been the ones to get theirs from crack-ups like Ali G and Will Ferrell, speakers at Harvard, and Jon Stewart, a speaker for William and Mary.

But imagine getting Barack Obama when his campaign is at a fever pitch? For Wesleyan grads, it was a reality.

The Presidential candidate urged graduates to take responsibility for their planet. "At a time when our ice caps are melting and our oceans are rising, we need you to help lead a green revolution," he said. "We still have time to avoid the catastrophic consequences of climate change if we get serious about investing in renewable sources of energy, and if we get a generation of volunteers to work on renewable energy projects, and teach folks about conservation, and help clean up polluted areas; if we send talented engineers and scientists abroad to help developing countries promote clean energy."

Perhaps J.K. Rowling (the mind behind Harry Potter) said it best when she told the audience at Harvard, "We do not need magic to change the world."

Halle Berry loves Barack Obama. She was recently spotted wearing an Obama shirt while running errands, and has even recorded an online message of support. Of Obama, Halle says "We are really going to need a president who has the ability to think big, and Barack Obama is that president." Other Obama supporters include Will Smith, Jessica Alba, and Jennifer Aniston. Here's what you can do to get your vote on.

Ellen brought Republican frontrunner John McCain on her show and confronted the elephant in the room: gay marriage.

McCain was uncomfortable, shifting in his seat, as Ellen compared the lack of universal marriage to the lack of universal suffrage, which was on the scheme of things, only recently granted.

He told her that she spoke eloquently, but that he had to agree to disagree. Really John? That's all you can throw back at her? The year is 2008. We're going to need a better reason that that. Californians did.

om Hanks surprised us by giving his official presidential endorsement in a video on his MySpace page, as reported by the LA Times. Seated in a casual den, the actor looks into the camera and says deadpan, "I'm Tom Hanks. And I want Barack Obama to be the next president of our country. As an official celebrity, I know my endorsement has just made your mind up for you."
