People.com is reporting on a fundraising event last weekend that put Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo on cupcake duty, as well as the following sightings:

Rachel Bilson, at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation Celebrity Carnival in Los Angeles, helping children at the Disney Princess castle make wands decorated with beads and ribbons. Also feeling artistic: Carmen Electra decorated shirts – and even fielded a kiss on the cheek from her rocker ex Dave Navarro. The pair hugged and joked, and Electra instructed funnyman Chris Kattan to pull on Navarro's beard. (She says that's how they say "hello!") Meanwhile, The Hills' Heidi Montag (there with her fiancé Spencer Pratt had plenty of affection for Lance Bass, nabbing a hug from the singer, who was on hand to judge a dance contest. (source)

A whole slew of stars turned out. I haven't seen the total numbers, but past years' events have raised upward of $1.4 million toward the Pediatric AIDS Foundation's programs and research.

Hayden Panettiere, star of the runaway hit "Heroes", made an appearance at the 8th Anual Paws for Style benefit fashion show last night here in the Big Apple.

The magazine Animal Fair hosts the event each year and donated proceeds from the event to the Humane Society -- which has an awesome teen site up now: www.HumaneTeen.org.

This year’s celebs that turned out to strut their stuff on the catwalk with a fury companion of the dog variety were Hereos Hayden Panettiere, Trading Spaces and In Touch Weekly’s designer Doug Wilson (both holding Toby), As the World Turns, Alexandra Chando, celebrity chef, Bethenney Frankel and her dog, Cookie, Miss Teen USA Katie Blair and her dog Cindy, What Not to Wear host, Stacy London and Alice, Stella Keitel (daughter of Lorraine Bracco and Harvey Keitel) and Eloise, animal activist and philanthropist Frances Hayward with her rescued dog Amigo, Prince Lorenzo Borghese, the 9th bachelor on ABC’s The Bachelor and his dog, James Bond, Richard Belzer and his dog Bebe, lifestyle expert Mar Jennings and his Miniature Schnauzer, Corky and last but not least, Court TV’s Catherine Crier and two of her five dogs, Bella and Abigail.
