Fallout Boy bassist (and activist!) Pete Wentz told People mag that the engagement ring he recently gave Ashlee Simpson is conflict-free. A diamond is considered conflict-free if its profit is not used to fund war, and it is mined and produced under ethical conditions.

Emo superstars (and perennial activists!) Fall Out Boy are setting their sights on making a world record.

The band is planning to hit all seven continents in less than nine months, throwing in a gig for 300 fans in Antarctica. (source)

MAE is a band that gives back! Having wrapped up the mtvU tour, the band MAE has announced that they'll launch a spring headlining run in support of their major label debut, Singularity, which released last fall.
