The person in my life who played a big role in my successful education is my mother. My mother’s name is Fadumo Ahmed. She was born in Eastern Africa, specifically the city of Mogadishu . My mother was born very early on one of the peaceful Fridays. She was born in the morning when the birds were singing their sweet melodic tunes welcoming their king the sun. She got married to my father and started having kids.

For my girl scout gold award project I planned to restore two jungle gyms that were built at a ball field close to my community. These jungle gyms were previously built by my two cousins and my sister. The jungle gyms were vandalized over the past summer and were in desperate need of repair.
These jungle gyms were first built in 1997 and 2000. i assembled and hung ten new swings, including a baby swing. I replaced two cracked and broken slides, replaced the play accessories, which included two telescopes, one steering wheel, and handles for the kids to climb onto the jungle gym.

I spent the last year volunteering on a daily basis for amnesty international in Israel (I am an American who lives in Israel at the moment).
Today there are about a thousand Sudanese refugees in Israel who fled the genocide in Darfur or the ongoing civil war in south Sudan.
These refugees come to Israel after being purely treated in Egypt to seek security.
Once they cross the border they are taken by the army and being put in prison or else being left in the street without anything.
These refugees are seen as enemy states because they come from Sudan which is allegedly an enemy of Israel.
