5K run

I am organizing a 5k run and 1k fun walk/run at my local park (Middletown Park in Middletown, Maryland) on April 6th, 2008. The cost is $10 per person and all proceeds will go towards the Johns Hopkin's Children's Center in both its clinical and research aspects. I became interested in this project after visiting the center and seeing the need for aid. I hope that the money I raise can be used to help underpriveldged families and to find new cures for the diseases.

This exciting new race will have you running (or
walking) over a brand new picturesque course, including the North Park Trail as well as quiet local streets. The race will finish on the towpath of the Susquehanna & Tidewater
Canal. The race course is a mostly flat, easy run over well-groomed paths and local paved streets.
