By now I am sure you have noticed the "Do Something Today'" suggestions right below the Nav bar on every page.
These are short, one sentence ideas that anyone can do during the day to make the world a nicer/better place.

Anyway, now you can submit your best ideas and get a shout out on front of the Do Something page.

Email your one sentence idea(s) to:

include your First Name, Initial last name, state

Email multiple ideas and we'll decide which make the cut. If your Do Something today ideas are chosen we will let you know.

Should prostitution be legalized?

Did anyone ever wonder what would happen if prostitution was legalized? I mean, I know many people are strictly against the idea because they think that more people would pursue it, or it's disgraceful, or ahh not in front of the children. But if prostitution was legalized then "escorts" would be taxed, everything would be formal and legitimate and therefore, would provide security to the prostitutes that are forced into this life, or in general. It would be a smaller problem for the future because people would except it and move on.

i just think that the way they treat people over there sucks!
i understand the fact that there's a punishment to a crime, but i think that most of the people there are not even criminals. its just though luck... paranoia and the govmnt... jeeeze. and even if they were, violence only creates more violence.

abstainence

i believe that teaching abstainence only is simply unrealistic and useless. it is part of human nature for people to have sexual desires. it is a good idea to teach responsibility and safety when dealing with sex education. teaching abstainence only is setting the kids up for failure.

Hi, my name is Amy. I go to a Christian School and we went through a series from International Justice Mission. IJM rescues young girls who have been forced into prostitution and frees children who have been in abusive forced labor. My friend Kelly and I have been doing a pop can drive for the past couple months to raise money for IJM. It only costs $500 to free a child from abusive labor and $1000 to free a girl forced into prostitution. IJM does everything through legal connections they have in countries such as Kenya, India and Africa.
