See It: The Community being helped

I go to elementary schools and a middle school every day to help teach classes. In the elementary school I help second through fourth grade students that having a learning disibality with thier math, reading, spelling and writing. When I go to the the middle schools I help teach an American history class, and an English/Reading class. I enjoy going to these schools because I beleive that if I can help one person and have an impact on thier life than I have acheived my life long goal.

The Needy Drive

See It: The Community being helped

Every year starting in December the Noatinal Honnor Society ask for about 125 families in the La Joya community who are in need. In November we go to bussiness and ask for a donation to the needy family Drive. With the money we buy all of the toiletries for all of the families and sometimes roof tops, windows, doors and heaters. We ask the students, culbs, JROTC, sport teams, and Central Office from La Joya High School to help participate in this project. We ask them to donate toys, food, clothing, or anything they wish to donate. Every year it is a grand sucess and its nice to see the families reaction when we deliver all of the gifts wrapped in Chritmas paper. It brings a smile to their faces and a tears in their eyes and thats when you feel that fuzzy feeling that something was done right. I am happy to say as an officer of NHS that with out the help of the students of La Joya High School this Needy Drive would never be a sucess.

Prayer Angel

Hello! Prayer Angel here! I am here to help you. Not the way you go around just helping someone in need, but by praying! If you don't think it works, check this out!  My papa was givin six months to live after being diagnosed with lung cancer. We were all pretty shaken up, so we started praying and going to church. We prayed our hearts out for this man that we love so much. We planned out his will, but still prayed he would live. Today ,three years later, he is still alive.Now, leave your comments, and PRAYER REQUESTS!
