See It: The Community being helped
Carnegie United Towards Increasing Efforts in Service (CUTIES) is planning to make a difference and change our surrounding community. Carnegie Mellon students are not known for their social awareness, because we often have to focus on our rigorous academic curriculum. CUTIES aims to change this paradigm by providing students a forum to actively integrate social awareness and community service into their outstanding education.
Our primary objective is to get Carnegie Mellon students making an active difference in the community. This year, we hope to hold a series of events to get at-risk youth on to Carnegie Mellon's campus. This will not only inspire them to achieve dreams of attending college, but will also connect them with role models and resources that can provide more substantial advice on getting into a college.
