Thousands of other teens sustain serious injuries or are permantly disabled in car accidents. These car accidents cost states, billions of dollars each year. The cost of these accidents in Pennsylvania during the year 2006 amounted to 8.9 billion dollars. Teen car accidents are often thought to be caused by alcohol or speeding, but the truth is that alcohol is a factor in only 21 percent of teen deaths. I went through treatment at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Having a passion for kids and a relation with cancer, I want to reach out to the kids that are in the shoes I once was. I want to start an organization sponsoring kids with cancer. The trademark of the organization would be the "cap". Each kid would get a hat, bandanna, scarf, etc...
