The main interest of New Vision Organization, Inc. is to work with the lost and forgotten, incarcerated, soon to be released and at-risk men, women and youth.

We correspond with these individuals. We provide nationwide extensive researched supportive resources in areas around pro bono contacts, housing, employment, counseling, free correspondence courses, halfway houses, Christian material, pen pals, etc. We network with other advocacy groups and organizations across America in order to provide each individual with the maximum services needed to achieve the goal/s of stability, productivity and to eliminate or decrease the recidivism rates of reincarcerations.

Since being started by an adult, Judy Shasek, Get Outta My Face (GOMF) has been trying to get kids to eat healthier and exercise more because America is the largest nation in the world. I joined the project in May 2007 after winning a film festival with a partner. The film that won was a stop motion video called "Punk Da Junk: The Journey of Epic Nutrition." It was made for the 72 hour shootout, which it won, and it actually took 31 hours to make with only two people working on it.
It later went on to be featured in BendFilm. It received a standing ovation from a Dietitian conference in Florida. And, the video has, thus far, received over 30,000 views on YouTube.

Since then, I have worked on other films for the company like an Anti High Fructose Corn Syrup advertisement, a film investigating the uses of junk food versus health food in common day objects, and I began working on a healthy food "rap."
This job for me is worth it, to me, not just for the money, but for the kids and the community that I can help become healthier through fun, light-hearted videos. I believe that taking advantage of today's modern technology allows us to reach a wider audience and spread our influence.
The issue is also such a prominent one because health issues are not about to go away. So, although it may seem like a losing battle, I'm pleased if I help at least one kid make the decesion to cut back on the junk, eat an apple, and take a run.

Young People Who Care is organization I started in 2003 when I was in 8th grade. YPWC is a student based service organization that allows students to get involved in decision making in regards to the activities that we participate in. In essence students are the foundation of our organization and our adult sponsors are there for moral support and constant guidance. Over the years we have started several different initiatives within our community and state. Initiatives such as a weekly tutoring program that allows students of any age in our school district to recieve tuturing from their peers. It is a great program because the younger kids really look up to the tutors who are generally high school students. We also started a School and Community Beautification program that allowed our members the opportunity to meet weekly and discuss what they would like to see done to our campus, surrounding campuses, and our community furthermore allowing them to take part in beautifying our community. We also revamped our High School's recycling program; under our new system we would collect all recyclable items while selling the aluminium cans and plastic bottles to recycle banks and donated all of the money weekly to each of the four grades in our High School. On a montly basis we provide dinner for a nearby orphanage and engage with them in a month activity. Other traditions we have instilled in our community are annual Junior vs Senior Powder Puff Games, Little Elm High School Idol, Halloween Movie Night, Work with Habitat for Humanity and Salvation Army, YPWC Sponsored Circle of Excellence Award, and Student of The Month. We also started a Rowdy Crowd a subsidiary of YPWC that travels to all extra-curricular functions to support that club as well as to encite spirit.
