During the summer between my sophomore and junior years in high school, instead of getting ajob to buy myself non-necessary objects, I volunteered for the Fabretto Children's Foundation. Fabretto is an organization working in Spain, Nicaragua, and America to better the lives and improve the education of the Nicaraguan people and their children.
Because of overpopulation, a failing economy, and an overall failing education system, Nicaraguan children only attend a half day of schooling, either a morning or afternoon session.
