Street outreach allows Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth employees and volunteers to interact with homeless youth and provide them with basic needs items necessary for survival. These items include toiletries, backpacks, weather appropriate clothing, food vouchers and snacks, water, and information and referral cards.
The objective of street outreach is to provide education, prevention services, and supplies to runaway, homeless, throwaway, and street youth who have been subjected to or are at risk of sexual exploitation or abuse.

I work in a group home where teenagers often enter the program without a real sense of proper nutrition. I would like to build a greenhouse at the site of the group home, which sits on 30 acres of wilderness. Residents would learn where their food comes from, how to cultivate their own food, and the benefits of good nutrition. The greenhouse would grow vegetables as well as plants and flowers. It is my hope that the greenhouse would create a culture among the residents of environmental and economic responsibility.
