We are holding a 3 on 3 basketball tournament at our community center to raise money and awareness for Nothing But Nets, a nonprofit organization that buys bed nets for families in Africa in order to combat malaria. We chose to raise money for this cause because it is a preventable disease, yet kills thousands of people every day. The tournament will bring the community together by getting multiple age groups to participate. The format of the tournament will allow all teams to be guaranteed four games and then an opportunity to play for the championship.
