U.S.A is known to be one of the greatest country in the world, which is why most people would rather emigrate from their home country to America. Some people leave their home country do to political threats, education, jobs and religion persecution etc... America is known to be a free country; freedom of speech, religion, etc... where everyone is expected to be treated equally. Now, let's get to the point. Why is it that some immigrants who get here ilegally get to stay and some don't? They're all to be treated equally and they're all looking for a better life.

After hearing and reading about the Jena 6 situation and the injustice that was being done to Mychal Bell one of the defendant in the case, I was moved to try to get the story out to my school, Washington University in St. Louis and the Greater St. Louis area. I decided to organize a forum entitled: "Strange Fruit: The Jena 6 Story" and invited the father of Mychal Bell, Marcus Jones and radio personnel, Tony Brown that broke the story and named the group "Jena 6." I received both gentlemen contact information from my brother, Ronald Herd II.
