See It: The Community being helped
BREAD OF LIFE CHURCH LEARNING CENTERS
I am Christopher B Stamps. I am the Youth Pastor for Males at the BREAD OF LIFE CHURCH LAKE ELSINORE. I am 19 years old. We are a 501 C3 California Corporation.
One of the goals of our church is to impact the Youth in our are for Christ. One of the ways we accomplish this is by touching the lives of the at risk students in the Lake Elsinore Unified School District. We have for the last eight years provided meals and transportation and limited tutoring to at risk student in our area.
We are now planing to extend out reach to more of the community in Lake Elsinore due to an increased need recognized by my father who is the Pastor of our church and my sister; Jasmine who is currently a high school student at Temescal Canyon High School. They have recognized that some of the students she attends class with told her and other students their parent were not working. Without an income they often ask her and others for food, a ride home and help with other house hold cares.
Our program would provide transportation to and from school for high risk student, a computer lab for home-work assistance and a learning center where local school district teachers help students keep the pace and graduate with their peers.
We will proved assistance with all high school level classes. We provide a computer for each student for home work, a printer and a fax machine. We also offer job assistance for any student who needs access to a computer, fax or copier. This include resume writing, on line job application and a phone number at our center where they can be reached if they don't have a home or cell phone. We assign each student a mail box where can access any call back notes are left. They have access from 7:30A.M. until 12:00 midnight Monday – Saturday.
Our church currently have a food ministry. Snacks will be offered to any student needing or wanting food. We have partnered with Albertson's Grocery Stores in Lake Elsinore. They provide bread and pastries 7 days a week to our church. I have worked for Albertson's Grocery store for the last 3 years.
They have been a great blessing to the Lake Elsinore community.
We thanks you in advance for the $10,000.00 grant for the continuation of our program.
Respectfully submitted,
