Tutoring program for English Language Learners struggling in school

Peerspective

I go to the most diverse high school in my city and have learned about the struggles that ELL (English Language Learners) who are mostly refugee students, have in the classroom. Language barriers, limited educational backgrounds and psychological trauma all create learning disadvantages for students who come from other countries and want to learn in our American school system. Many students who cannot keep up drop out of school and end up working factory jobs for the rest of their lives.
