The Keylatch Summer provides underserved children from Boston's South End with a high-quality, enriching summer camp experience. Community leaders, families, and Keylatch staff engage campers in activities that allow them to explore new opportunities, deepen cultural and community pride, and foster a love of learning.
Racial tensions and inter-neighborhood violence abound, and most of the youth violence that occurs in Boston takes place in and around the South End.

I am planning on holding a LGBT friendly dance in the Greater Seattle Area.
Many students (including non-LGBT students in high school) do not feel comfortable going to dances with their significant other because of hostility in their own school. Students also need to have feelings of safety, comfort, and community to be successful adults.
Seattle is known for being very LGBT friendly, however Seattle also is known by some for having a very large percentage of LGBT youth that are at-risk.

Our community in Calloway County, Kentucky currently has many temporary Spanish-speaking residents who have come to our community from Mexico through the H2A program: a program that provides reliable guestworker labor to the agricultural industry. These workers labor every single day on farms in our community. Agriculture has long been known to provide one of the most dangerous job atmospheres available. Safety programs and materials have been available to American farmers for years, exposing the dangers of this way of life.

I want to creat some sort of fund, with donations for car dealerships, car insurace companies and other companies that agree with this cause. The purpose and the money would go to programs for teens to learn how to properly drive. Not everyone can afford drivers school, and alot of their parents are too busy to teach them the proper tactics to drive safely. You can't just warn teens about the dangers of driving and tell them to be safe, you have to actually teach them the skills to know how to drive safe. Without that skill, all the awarness and laws being formed are useless.

Family-Oriented Wrestling League is an independent wrestling promotion based in Appleton, Wisconsin. We run bi-weekly shows that demonstrate "pro-wrestling". A portion of each ticket sold goes to Harbor House, a domestic-abuse charity organization. We basically demonstrate "wrestling violence" to raise money to stop domestic violence. We safely train each other to take moves that will entertain a crowd enough to donate to the charity. We would like to put on a big show on October 28th in Appleton, Wisconsin, even bringing in former WWE SuperStar Scotty 2 Hotty.

The mission of Safe Connects is to promote Internet literacy and to teach Internet safety and online etiquette to elementary and middle school children through an interactive workshop conducted by teen facilitators. The Safe Connects lesson plan and accompanying worksheets cover important topics such as Passwords, Chat Rooms, Computer Viruses, and Internet Predators. During 2006, the Safe Connects program was presented at local middle schools and the first Safe Connects summer program was held at IUPUI.

If $500 were given to me to promote smart and safe driving, I would use the money to spread awareness. After researching teen driving, I would put together a brochure with pictures and statistics of deaths, injuries, and more terrible results of unsafe and unsmart teen driving. I would also express the dangers of not buckling up, texting, or talking on a phone while driving through posters and t-shirts. I would get a large group, between 20 and 25 people to be exact, and one day after school, I would stand by the parking lot of our school and talk to students leaving the parking lot.

According to federal accident statistics, 79 Wisconsin drivers have been killed and 353 injured at railroad crossings in the last decade. While not all of these accidents have been the drivers' fault, the majority of these accidents are preventable.
I live near railroad tracks, and every day I see drivers completely ignoring crossing signals or even driving around lowered crossing gates, simply to beat the train and save a minute or two. I would like to start a campaign to increase driver awareness about the danger and inherent ignorance of these actions.
