See It: The Community being helped
The Journey of Hope is a 4,000 mile cycling trek from San Francisco, CA to Washington, D.C. during the summer. Cyclists ride an average of 75 miles a day, and after cycling, participate in "friendship visits" with people with disabilities in local communities. Each cyclist needs to raise a minimum of $4800 and the money goes to the national philanthropy, PUSH America (www.pushamerica.org). This organization "builds leaders of tomorrow, by serving people with disabilities today."
