virgin moble is running a "charity" drive for homeless teens by asking kids and teens to "strip" off their clothing on a video and post it online, where the more hits that the video gets, the more clothes are donated. although there is no nudity allowed, there are videos of teens in their underwear.

i think this is a disgusting way to try to do good.

Man charged for feeding homeless acquitted

- In Orlando there's a law prohibiting large group feedings in parks, a law that some say is meant to keep homeless people away from expensive neighborhoods and tourist areas. According to the Orlando Sentinel, jurors acquitted Eric Montanez of a misdemeanor charge for violating this ban. He is also part of a constitutional court case, calling for the Constitutionality of the ban with the ACLU.

Homelessness is a big problem in the US. So many people are out on the streets, especially in big cities. We need to teach these people some skills, and then help them to find jobs. Handing homeless people money is not going to do anything for them, for the most part. A lot of them will turn around and use the money for things that are not going to help them get off the streets. We need to implement plans to educate these people. Any ideas on how we can help?

Opening a homeless shelter

I currently work at a homeless shelter for single mothers. I really would like to open one myself. My goal is to get one started before the end of my Fall semester. Its not that I dislike the shelter I curently work at, I just feel that I could make more of an impact if I began one myself. Any ideas?

Okay, I know that some people believe that most homeless people are homeless becuase of something they did, therefore it's their own fault. But what about the people who were living paycheck to paycheck, then suddenly lost their job? Please post what u think.
