I organized a walk and raised money for a rare type of cancer called Leiomyosarcoma. I am very close to my mother. My friend’s mother just died of this rare type of cancer. I felt very bad for her four children and wanted to do something for them. She died within a month of being diagnosed. This tragic event really hit me hard and I wanted to do something for her and her family. I then decided that I wanted to do something that would help her family over come a horrible tragedy and help others with this cancer.
