The place they have to practice /play games does not have enough room to accommodate the amount of children our community has participating. We have had a large increase in families moving to this area; therefore, we now have more children. The park is a nonprofit area, so we have to raise all money to expand, maintain the park. Currently we are working on building a field for tee-ball, and have had several fundraising activities.

I have started a new activity for the students at a local junior high school. About four years ago I wet to Trinity Junior High School and asked to start a baseball team for the school. I got other local schools to schedule us in for a game or two. I also had to get with the coaches at the school and find out what funds I could get from the boosters. The plan went well and the past three springs we have played baseball at Trinity, this year will be no exception. I have been a volunteer coach along with the new head coach at the school.

As a major community service project in my high school experience, I volunteered over fifty hours to umpiring little league baseball games. This organization is close to my heart as I played baseball in my youth and there was always a shortage of umpires. To help this shortage, I began umpiring at the age of nine for younger divisions. during my high school years I became very involved in umpiring higher-level little league games and all-star tournaments where umpires are very short due to the sporatic schedule.
