When Congress first rejected the $700 billion bailout, the Dow Jones industrial average plunged 777 points. Legislators regrouped for another stab at a financial rescue package to restore confidence in the U.S. economy and tried again. This time it was passed. Good idea? That’s still being debated… even by high school students.

We will be targeting the global teen community with this project. Here we are trying to get teens to become more aware that they have the power to change their community even if it is one act at a time.

Currently, in Winnemucca Nevada, there are colonies of feral cats living throughout the city. The animal shelter in the area will only take dogs due to the amount of wild cats and difficulty in finding homes for them. These cats spread disease and often live in near starving and inhumane conditions. Without change, these cats will continue to breed and the population will continue to grow exponentially.

Well I guess our community is really the whole world. Anyone anywhere can go on the internet and look at any site. This is why business have websites, so people can find them anywhere. Well the problem is that non-profits cannot afford professional sites.

Krafty Kids is a non profit organization in Miami, Florida. Our group consists of four high school freshmen, but new members are always welcomed. We believe that every child should have a memory of making something creative with their own hands, because everyone deserves to enjoy their childhood. We plan out and preform activities with the children in Miami's hospitals and we also donate money to St. Jude Research Hospital.
Krafty Kids began as a class assignment but has turned into much more than that, and we need your help to help make our dream a reality.

Kids Off The Block, a prominent community based youth organization in the Roseland Community of Chicago, IL, has ignited a passion across the city in response to an epidemic of youth violence that has claimed the lives of our children in the past year. We are embarking on our greatest challenge yet, the launching of our Citywide Campaign called “Save A Teen / Do Something”. This new Youth Anti-Violence Crime Prevention Campaign will develop sustainable processes and relationships that will address the violence, and social conditions that face youth in Chicago and across this nation.

As a 13 year old American, I take much for granted. I realized this even more so last year, as I went on vacation with my family to Costa Rica. It is a beatiful county, with friendly people. However, I was shocked to see the condition that some children live in. As we traveled trough I saw schools (which resemble what we use here as tool sheds)and children going to school with no shoes and no supplies. Since then I have wante dto do something about it and I am ready to act! This organization is now dedicated and commited to help those kids and teens.

A plan for community building:
Without specific details and a particular whereabouts for this plan, this is a theory that would hopefully build communication between teens and other demographic partisans in a neighborhood. The idea here is to have the teens of any particular neighborhood unite and perform a convention "of sorts". This convention may involve things like a march, a cookout, or talent-like show, all put on and executed by these teenagers in order to bring all ages, races, and creeds together- unifying the community in which they live.
