http://www.dosomething.org/taxonomy/term/4319 The taxonomy view with a depth of 0. en http://www.dosomething.org/node/42026 <p><p>We opened up The After Spot at the West Berkeley Senior Center every Thursday from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. It was a response to the parents concerns about the youth of Berkeley not having a place to be instead of wandering the streets. There have been a lot of killings in Berkeley due to gang violence and teenagers not having a place to go after school. We chose the Senior Center because they have pool tables, internet access and it was a convenient location since a lot of teenagers of color live in West Berkeley.
