"Our Peaceful Place" is a homeless shelter that one of our member's Grandmas runs. Recently, "Our Peaceful Place" lost its building due to lack of funding. Now they are working on the streets of the city from their backpacks. Our goal is to earn enough money for "Our Peaceful Place" to regain its building, give a leg up by collecting the needed supplies for helping the homeless, and also to provide volunteers from our club for "Our Peaceful Place".

Help plan A Sweet Soul Supper for The Margaret Fuller House.
The 2008 theme is Carnival for the June 14th 2008 event and volunteers are needed in many areas.
During the event volunteers can set up, clean up, work the silent auction, register guests, and more.
Volunteers can also help before the event by preparing invitations or making decorations.
Volunteer and/or join The Planning Committee meetings.

My school district is partially located in a disintegrating family environment. Looking back on the elementary school I used to attend, I noticed there was a significantly less number of parents involved at the school and in the classrooms. I thought about how helpful and supportive my parents are, and how many moms and dads would constantly volunteer at the school in any way they could when i was still in attendance.
