2006 BRICK Award winner Francesca Tenconi created the Children's Skin Disease Foundation (CSDF). At the age of 11, she developed a skin condition that destroyed 85% of her skin and almost took her life. When Francesca met other children in similar situations, she decided that a support network was necessary. She then established Camp Wonder as a place for children with serious skin diseases to forget about their conditions and just have some fun. CSDF fundraises for medical research in hopes of curing skin diseases which affect children.
