The Regional Food Bank’s BackPack Program
helps alleviate child hunger by providing hungry children with nutritious and easy-to-prepare food
at times when other resources are not available,
such as on weekends.
The program provides kids with food that is
child-friendly, shelf stable, and easily consumed.

Holiday Toy Drive
A Service- Learning Project

KIPP: Student Council and Committee.
Students organized toy drive; created and distributed flyers, made school wide announcements, collected and wrapped toys.
Students identified organizations to donate toys from the toy drive. Student Council Leaders met with representative from Prison Families of New York (PFNY) to discuss the project. Council and committee members presented toys to two organizations; PFNY and The Albany Medical Foundation for the Children’s Hospital at Albany Med.
