I will make a difference.

My mom and I just had a long conversation about Global Warming, it's causes, it's effects, and what we can do to make a difference. In our home, we already do the typical green things: we recycle on a regular basis, we use compact flourescent lightbulbs, et cetera. But I still feel as if I'm not doing enough. One thing she told me about is that the Ireland Republic recently voted to put a tax on plastic bags. When anyone in Ireland goes to the grocery, they are taxed 9 cents for every plastic bag they use; at the same time they are encouraged to use reusable fabric bags.

Drill or no drill?

Bush and McCain propose overturning the longstanding ban on offshore drilling. Obama and Congressional Democrats argue that doing so will do nothing to staunch the rising gas prices, and advise that the better choice is to invest in renewable sources of energy.

Which side are you on?

Is extreme weather a sign of global warming?

As extreme weather creeps across the country (floods, tornadoes, heat waves), people are beginning to wonder if any of this is tied to global warming. The effects of global warming on local weather are complicated, sometimes controversial and always ripe for conversation. No one weather event is an indication of climate change, yet more and more Americans seem to perceive the totality of the recent strange weather events as an indication that climate change is real, it is happening, and it isn’t going to stop without some real effort. What do you think?

ok first of i want to say all global warming belivers are idiots there now that thats out of the way let me say that you dont have any proof so its getting a little hotter its done this at least three time in natuaral history before which by the way has been proven unlike most global warming stuff which they have done one experimnet and called it good do any of you actualy know the scientific method wll since most of you probably dont here it is
1.ask a question
2.gather research
3.form an experiment
4.colect data
5.form a conclusion

Climate change

For those who think global warming will just warm the earth up, that's not true, global warming will do many things, raise water levels, cause stronger storms, flood places, other places will have droughts, and alot of other things,(which is why it's called climate change) the world will look a very diffrent place if we don't stop it, and yes the climate of the earth get's naturaly warmer and cooler every couple hundreds of thousands of years, but the warming that was coming up we just made it a whole lot worse with our pollution.

What's next for "An Inconvenient Truth?"

First it was the film and the book. Now the next stop for Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" is opera. Officials from the Milan opera house La Scala say the Italian composer Giorgio Battistelli has been commissioned to produce an opera on the international multiformat hit for the 2011 season.

Would YOU go see An Inconvenient Truth, live on stage?
