Deaf Youth USA

Deaf Youth USA is committed to social justice through media and activism. Deaf Youth USA (DYUSA) is a new and "emerging" organization exclusively for deaf youth in America, between the ages of 18 - 30. DYUSA strives to empower, educate, and inspire deaf youth in making a difference in their own communities, through giving tools. We aim to have our first event this summer, which will be a 4-day camp, with forums, discussions, and workshops.

Deaf/American Sign Language Performances

I'm 17 years old and I'm at the highest level of American Sign Language at my school. I'm the secretary of my schools ASL Honor Society and have seen clips of Deaf Performances and witnessed Rathskellar (a Deaf Dance/Show group) as well as signed interpreted songs and written and performing poetry of my own. After seeing a news showing on "The Big River", which was the first and, as far as I'm aware, show put on that incorporated both beautiful music and sign language, written for this, not interpreted.
