My project educated elementary students on basic music theory and gave them a hands-on experience with a variety of band and orchestra instruments played by members of the high school concert bands and orchestra. Along with that, it educated junior high students on basic marching techniques, with the help of the Fighting Cardinal Marching Band, and allowed the students to listen to college students and the high school director speak on their experiences being in high school and college bands, and what band will be like in high school for the students.
