I have always wanted to be a giving part of my community. In church, I always learned that we should get out and do something, but we never went anywhere. I wanted to volunteer at the local children's hospital, garden, clean up the parks, and more but never knew how to get started.
Now, I'm a girl scout leader. Our troop started last year with no funds, but big ideas. We are a crew of 35 1st-5th graders and two 13 year-olds, and we wish to make a difference in our community.

Well, where do I start? Here's the letter I sent to the local conservation crew, RACC (Rockbridge Area Conservation Crew). Below that are my listed ideas for the project. Below that is the replied email from RACC's executive director. Below THAT is the email from the board member who is leading the planning for this year's community clean-up.
